These represent my most treasured item, and that is the restored gospel of Jesus Christ on the earth today. They represent my faith in Jesus, in the prophet Joseph Smith, in the living prophet President Thomas S Monson.

That would have to be my mom. Obviously, she was the first person to see me, to hold me, to love me, and to be my best friend. I love you, Mom!! 

Day 1/30

So, I have decided to begin (quite later than everyone else, I might add) the 30 day challenge. I don't know much about blogging, so this will help me get into the habit of posting new blogs every day and make me more comfortable finding my way around here. 


So, without further ado, day 1: A picture of yourself with 10 facts about YOU!

Fact 1: I am a mother.
Fact 2: I am a wife.
Fact 3: I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon)
Fact 4: I am a leukemia/bone marrow transplant survivor.
Fact 5: I have a bachelor's degree in Psychology.
Fact 6: I miss my son Quinn (who is in the Army and stationed in El Paso)! 
Fact 7: I have to have things even. So, if you hit me in my right arm, be prepared to hit me in my left arm!
Fact 8: I love 80's music more than anyone on the planet.
Fact 9: I have two dogs, Gus (a fat little terrier mix) and Dexter (a Siberian Husky).
Fact 10: I live with a ghost. 

Temple Experience

I just want to encourage everyone to go to the temple!! Oh my goodness. You feel and hear and see things in the temple that you might not anywhere else. I had one of the most amazing experiences of my life at the Oakland Temple last night. I must say, I cannot wait to go back! I wish I could afford to go once a week!

Happy Valentines Day

Someday, I hope to be sealed to my husband for time and eternity. However, he doesn't have a testimony of the church. I am not going to give up, though. He is my Valentine today, tomorrow, and until we die. I won't ever give up hoping and praying that it will be eternal. Say a little prayer for those of us who are waiting for our loved ones to gain a testimony so that our family can be together forever.

I believe

I believe that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the restored church of Jesus, back on the earth today. I believe that God sends prophets today just as He did in the Bible. I believe that the same set up of the church in Jesus' day is here on the earth today because of Joseph Smith's faith, belief, and obedience. I believe that Jesus appeared unto his people on this continent, as well. I believe that we lived with Heavenly Father prior to our choosing to come to this earth. I believe that all of us were there together, yes, all of us. We all chose to come here. Now, what we do while we are here is up to us. This is my journey.
